What is a biokineticist?

A specialised exercise therapist (registered with the HPCSA) who is able to prescribe preventative and rehabilitative exercise therapy to improve the client's quality of life.

What is cardiac rehabilitation?

Cardiac rehabilitation is a specific programme consisting of education, exercise and other interventions to address the risk factors of Coronary Artery Disease. The aim being to help the cardiac patient to regain his/her strength, to prevent the condition from worsening and to reduce the risk of future heart problems.
